Each day we create the person we are becoming and leave footprints of the person we have been. Each day we create a memorial to what we have become - for good or for ill.

Remember

Today is Armed Forces Day. So please take a few moments to remember all of those who have gone before to preserve the liberty that this country was founded upon.

  1. Thank you for your new blog. I took a few moments to watch the stirring patriotic videos that you have posted.... so moving! Our days fly by with busyness... so crammed with too many nonsensical things.... forgetting gratitude to God, spouses, parents, great teachers, all those who do good.. and are good. Our military men and women are truly among the noble and great ones... who are also fighting for God's cause..... FREEDOM. Especially freedom to worship Him. May they be eternally blessed for their sacred sacrifices as well as their families. Our heartfelt thanks we give them and their families and strive to remember them in our prayers always.

  2. peachcobbler67 I totally agree with you. We do forget the gratitude toward God, spouses, parents, great teachers, and all those who do good and are good.
We especially take for granted our Freedoms and those who fight for it. We each and everyone of us need to take more time to stop and reflect on what we are grateful for.
And take the time to Thank our military men and women and also our law enforcement men and women. They put their lives on the line for us each and everyday. And they don't get enough acknowledgement, Thanks and appreciation. We just expect that we will be kept safe from anything and that they will always be there for us. It sure is a Thankless job that they do to serve our country, in the capacity that they do.
So we need to do more than just Thank them we need to help them any way we can like volunteer, go and talk with one and listen to there stories, etc. I always like to hear good war stories.
Thanks for writing peachcobbler67, have a great day!!! ;)

  3. I had the privilege of being thanked by the wife of one of the soldiers because of a donation that I'd given to help. She was going through a thank you list. Our conversation was warm and very enlightening. She was wonderful and we talked nearly an hour exchanging a few ideas ,sorrows, and some humor. It was very wonderful to be able to thank her and her husband as well. I came away feeling a much better person, to have known her for this brief moment. Sometimes those who are hurting the most are those who seem to lift others. They serve with love and sacrifice. You are right we need to put our gratitude into action.
