Each day we create the person we are becoming and leave footprints of the person we have been. Each day we create a memorial to what we have become - for good or for ill.

Lincoln Memorial

I would love to visit Memorials around the states take pics and give you more info. on them. Unfortunately I can only give you the latter. But I know that I will have fun doing the research for them and learn lots. So...

The first Memorial that we will explore will be the Lincoln Memorial. Although I've never visited D.C. I think it would be cool to one day visit and see the Lincoln Memorial. To see some history and a Memorial dedicated to our 16th President of the United States of America.
I love reading about history, and am interested in learning more about it.
So here is some information on the Lincoln Memorial sight. I hope you will learn something from this!!! ;)

Lincoln Memorial construction began in 1914 and was finished in 1922, dedicated to President Abraham Lincoln the 16th President of the United States of America.
It was designed by Henry Bacon. The Memorial stands 190 feet long, 119 feet wide and almost 100 feet high. The statue of Lincoln himself stands 19 feet high and weighs 175 tons. The statue of Lincoln was carved in four years by the Piccirilli brothers under the watchful eye of the sculptor Daniel Chester French.
Carved inscriptions of Lincoln's Second Inaugural Address and his Gettysburg Address are located in the North and South chambers. Around the outside of the building are listed the names of the 36 States that were part of the Union when Lincoln died. Which are...

Thank You!!! ;)

I know I've posted a lot of video's. This is my first blog ever. I am not quite sure how to run a blog, so I'm just kinda going by the seat of my pants.
I have dedicated my blog to the military men and women and also the law enforcement men and women. I am so grateful for all that you do to keep our country safe and free. It is hard for me to put in words what it means to me. So from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! ;)
I am doing my best to spread the word about how great our military and law enforcement are. You guy's don't seem to get appreciated, or thanked a lot.
I have had relatives and friends serve in the military. And I am so grateful and blessed to be protected by all of you.
It breaks my heart to hear and see people so ungrateful and to listen to those in the media tear you guys down.
I have really had my eye's opened, by reading Marcus Luttrell's book "Lone Survivor." I knew that you guys were great and sacrificed a lot for our country, but not to the depths that I read in Marcus' book.
My relatives and friends never really have talked about it.
I write to soldiers. I am in Soldiers Angels and I feel privileged to write to them. I've been busy the past nine months with school and haven't had as much time as I would have liked to, to write to them often. But I do enjoy it!!! ;) I hope that in the near future I will be able to volunteer at a VA Hospital near me!!! ;)
So I'll I can say is Thank You!!! ;) May God Bless and Protect your lives each and every day!!! ;) Your in my thoughts and my prayers. And I love you guys!!! ;)
